Chapter 12 Shares

Sara laughed at herself. Make trouble? How could she make trouble? It was Janet who had tripped her!

She was so angry that her hands trembled. Before she could say anything, she heard Kent go on, "Stand up! If grandpa sees this, what will he think? I bullied you again? Humph!"

"Kent, how could say that to Sara? Let me help her up. Although she wronged me, I won't make a fuss about that." As Janet held Sara's arm, her long nails stuck into her clothes. There was a sweet smile on her angelic face. "Janet, don't slander me anymore. Kent won't be partial to you!"

Looking at Janet's smiling face, Sara thought of the word "hypocrisy". She had seldom met Janet before, so she had no idea of what kind of person Janet was. But during the several minutes, she knew this woman's heart was not as pure as her appearance.

Why did Janet treat her like this? They hadn't had any conflict before!

Gritting her teeth against the pain, she opened her mouth slightly. When she wanted to say something, Janet took Kent's arm and walked into the house. Seeing their backs, she felt heartbroken.

She thought, "Kent, when could you look back at me? I'm your wife!"

In the luxurious living room, Janet and Kent sat opposite Elliott while Lilith stood aside. They were talking about something. When Sara went in, the atmosphere was somewhat tense and stiff.

Seeing her, Elliott beamed a warm smile and beckoned her over. "Sara, come and sit next to me." His affection for Sara caused a trace of jealousy in Janet's eyes.

Sara sat on a sofa and said softly, "Grandpa, I'll just sit here."

"Hypocrite!" Lilith rolled her eyes. She had been turning her nose up to Sara from the very beginning. How could Sara match Kent, her son of noble birth?

Just then, Elliott gave a loud cough. Hearing that, Lilith pressed her lips and didn't dare to say anymore.

"Anyway, Janet must live here and is forbidden to live outside. She must come back before 9 p.m. every day." Elliott stressed in a deep voice.

Sara realized what the conversation was about–Janet wanted to live outside, but Elliott didn't agree.

"Grandpa, I've rented a house for Janet," Kent said as he saw the disappointment on Janet's face.

Elliott pulled a straight face. "You want to disobey me, huh?"

Feeling Elliott's anger, Janet dragged Kent's sleeve and whispered, "Kent, I'll live at home. It's fine." She gave a reassuring look at him.

He gazed at her with a complicated expression for a while before nodding. "All right. I'll ask grandpa to give you the right after some time."

Elliott frowned as he looked at Sara who had been left out. Then, he said seriously, "I have something to tell you. I hold 40% of the company's shares and I plan to give 10% to Sara. As for the rest, I'll give them to Kent after Sara gives birth to a baby, or I'd rather take it to my coffin."

His words came as a great shock to all the people.

"Dad, are you serious? How can you give 10% to Sara and keep 30% until she gives birth? You can't do this way!" Lilith objected in a sharp voice.

Kent frowned deeply. Obviously, he was dissatisfied and angry with the old man's arrangement.

Sara was also greatly astonished. Only after a long while did she calm herself down a bit.
