Chapter 14 I Won't Divorce
Kent blew out a mouthful of smoke and looked at Sara's pale cheeks and bloodless lips. Regardless of her painful expression, he smiled mercilessly and said coldly, "You're not eligible to know her name."
She opened her mouth slightly but failed to say a word. The pain in her heart made her tremble slightly.
He put on his leisurewear and walked out of the bedroom with a box of cigarettes.
Hearing the click of the door, Sara collapsed onto the bed. Tears rolled down from her eyes to her hair.
She thought, "Kent, why are you so cruel to me? Now that you love another woman, why did you propose to me and give me hope? You're so merciless and heartless! Ho ho..."
Kent went downstairs to the living room and leaned against the sofa. The cigarette lit up the darkness with a little red.
"Kent," a soft voice came into his ears. He looked up at the woman within striking distance. The next second, he pulled her into his arms.
With a soft cry, she put her hands against his robust chest and brushed his handsome face with her tender lips. That made his body stiffen a bit. Then, his kisses, with the smell of tobacco, swept over her body like a rainstorm. She threw her arms around his neck and responded to him passionately and boldly. Driven by the thirst after a long "drought", they got entangled with each other enthusiastically. The air was filled with a strong scent of hormone.
Bang!
A cup suddenly dropped onto the ground, interrupting the two in a tangle in the darkness. Hearing the sound, both of them were stunned. Kent calmed himself down first and helped Janet and himself get well dressed. Then, he turned on the light.
Seeing a face was as white as paper, he said indifferently, "If you want to tell grandpa about this, then do it."
Sara looked down at the glass pieces on the ground and smiled self-mockingly. "I just wanted to drink some water and didn't expect that I would see such a wonderful scene."
What an irony that her husband had an affair with his sister! What a fresh piece of news!
She felt like a knife was slashing her heart and a fire burning in her body. She was going to explode in unbearable pain. With strength, she slapped his face.
Gnashing her teeth, she said, "You're so filthy! So disgusting!" Before tears ran out of her eyes, she turned around and walked fast upstairs.
Seeing her trembling shoulders, he lowered his eyelids slightly.
Janet ran up to him and saw his red left face. Angrily, she said, "How dare she beat you? What a bitch! Kent, it must hurt, right? I'll get an ice bag for you."
He grasped her hand and put it to his lips. In a whisper, he replied, "I'm fine, Janet. I'll divorce her as soon as possible. Even if grandpa opposes, I'll make you my real wife."
She buried her head against his chest. Touched, she nodded. "Even if I can't be your wife, I'll follow you all my life."
Her words made him feel warm inside. Softly, he said, "My stupid girl, I won't fail you. You've been the only woman I want to marry."
Sara ran back to the bedroom. Sprinkled with salt by Kent, her bruised heart ached so much that she couldn't even say a word. She thought her tears had dried up, but they rolled down her cheeks again.
She felt so confused and so sorrowful... Why was it Janet?
She knew Kent had been loving someone deeply, but she had never expected that it would be Janet. No wonder Janet was so hostile to her. No wonder she felt he was overly intimate with Janet.
He had true love with Janet, not her! Ho ho...
In his world, she had been a shame and a joke! How pathetic it was!
She had naively thought, even if she couldn't walk into his life, she would be his wife all the time. She had naively thought she could bear it no matter how many affairs he had outside. She just wanted to stay by his side.
But now, he told her in such a direct way that the woman he loved was Janet Fitch, his sister!
When the bloody scar was ripped open again, she realized that she still felt hurt though she had been numb to it.
Just then, the door was pushed open. Kent appeared there and said coldly, "I have something to talk to you."
She wiped her tears off her cheeks with both hands and sat on the bed. Looking at the man who came to the bedside, she said faintly, "Talk about divorce? Kent Fitch, I ate my words. I won't divorce." She hated it! She hated being fooled like this!
She was a person, not a toy that he could kick away when he didn't need it.
Kent's face fell, his eyes even more frosty. "You won't divorce? Sara White, I can give you 10 million yuan and an apartment. Didn't you marry me because of money? With 10 million yuan, you can live a carefree life with your family!"
As if choked by a big hand, she could hardly breathe. With red eyes, she growled, "Kent Fitch, I married you not for money! How could you see me that way?"
"Not for money? Don't you know how many times your father's asked me for money during these years? Now that you know the thing between Janet and me, I may as well tell you she's the only woman I want to marry. I didn't fulfill my promise that year, but this time, I'll do it! Sara White, you're nothing in my eyes! I don't love you and even hate you! It disgusts me to see you!"
Staring at his cold handsome face, she felt a sharp throbbing in her chest. Her eyes were moist again, but she gritted her teeth and forced the tears back. Sadly and angrily, she said, "Why must I do as you tell? As long as I don't divorce, I'll still be Mrs. Fitch! Even if I agree to divorce, grandpa will stop it! Besides, Janet is your sister. For all reasons, it's impossible for you to be together!"
Kent hadn't expected her to be so stubborn. He narrowed his eyes with a flash of fierceness.
Slowly, he drew closer to her and pinched her delicate chin with strength. Feeling great pain, she bit her lower lip, not willing to shed tears in front of him.
"You love me so much? You want to be Mrs. Fitch so much? All right, I'll fulfill your wish..." With a glance at her thin figure, he pushed her down onto the bed. Then, his tall and strong body overwhelmed hers like a mountain.
A wave of panic spilled out of her heart. She stared at the aggressive man and pushed him with strength. "Let go of me! Let go of me!"
