Chapter 4 The Bathroom Horror

Bree, sensing the weakening of the man's grip, thought that he was scared and seized the opportunity to slam him backward.

Leo was caught off guard and was hit on the jaw by the back of the woman's head. He bit his tongue and gasped in pain.

Bree then took the chance to knock him away and ran outwards.

Intuitively, Leo tried to yank her back.

However, he did not catch the woman but got hold of the towel she was wearing. The towel had become loose due to the earlier struggling, and this time, it fell off.

Bree widened her eyes open in shock.

Leo became stunned as well.

"Ah!"

The piercing scream brought Leo back to his senses. He then hurried to release the hand, which was tugging at the towel. Bree immediately wrapped it around herself in a hectic manner.

"You...You stay back!" Bree's voice was tearful. As she grabbed the towel with one hand and moved backward, she tried to find a way to escape.

Leo's expression was gloomy, and his intuition told him that the woman, who claimed to be his wife, was here sent by Hervey.

As Leo strode towards her, Bree winced and backed off. Unexpectedly, she stepped on the hem of the towel upon the floor and then fell uncontrollably to the ground.

"Don't come any closer! Don't come any closer!" Sensing that the man stopped before her, Bree tightly covered her breasts with the towel with one hand and waved the other in the air, trying to defend herself with her meager strength.

Unfortunately, it was all in vain.

Leo, who was in a disadvantage situation earlier, grabbed the woman's arm with one hand and her chin with the other, and he then lifted her head while she desperately tried to dodge.

It was her.

"Help! Help!" With tears welling up in her eyes, Bree felt hopeless as the man's might passed on her from her arm and jaw.

"Shut up!" The piercing cry for help made Leo frown tightly.

Bree was shocked and intuitively muted her mouth.

At this moment, Bree got a chance to look at the man's features clearly.

The man's brows were tightly furrowed, and his dark, tempting pupils were like obsidian. Bree could feel the storm brewing in his eyes, and though his thin lips were pursed with a hint of restraint, she somehow found them attractive.

Seeing that Bree seemed to have calmed down, Leo released his grip on her and got up to take a bottle of water from the refrigerator.

The cold water flowed down Leo's throat and into his stomach, providing some relief to his tired body. Just as he wanted to talk to his so-called wife, he felt a sharp pain in the back of his head.

Leo's body stiffened, and he turned his head in disbelief to see Bree standing behind him with a panicked expression on her face, holding the Qianlong imperial enameled vase that Leo auctioned off in France at a high price!

Bree's hands holding the vase were shaking slightly. Seeing that the man did not faint but still had the strength to turn his head to glare at her, the woman got scared, and even her scalp went numb. Just as she closed her eyes and wanted to give the man another hit, Leo eventually fell to the ground.

Bree instantly sank beside the bed and released the vase as if it was a hot bowl. Then, the vase rolled to the corner of the room.

Looking at the man on the ground, Bree could not help but wonder, "You are a pretty man. Why do you have to be a thief?"

After wiping off the cold sweat on her forehead, Bree did not hesitate to pick up the phone and call the police!
