Chapter 9 No Getting Close to Other Men

Meeting Mansion's cold and deep eyes, Eliza paused for a moment and then said something that pissed him up.

"None of your business."

Mason's pent-up anger erupted. Forcefully pushing the door open, he approached and cornered her again.

Her pretty eyebrows furrowed slightly, and Mason gently pinched her jaw the next second, "Know your place!" He warned her coldly.

At that moment, Eliza leaned against the wall and had her head slightly raised.

She felt uncomfortable with such an approach and physical contact.

She grabbed Mason by the wrist, put it down, swiftly turned around, and pinned him down against the wall.

A flicker of astonishment flashed across his eyes as he was impressed by her swift move.

"You forbad me tell outsiders about our relationship, and I just granted your wish." Eliza shot back, which rendered Mason speechless.

Her cool and clear eyes momentarily dazed him.

With a backhand move, he grabbed Eliza and pressed her back with the other hand. A slight force brought them closer.

Eliza struggled in reflex, but he pinned her down. In fact, she could fight back but conceded at the thought of his status.

"I'm not interested in whoever you're intimate to in private. However, I don't hope to hear any gossip!" Mason warned her again.

Eliza frowned slightly. This man was so domineering!

They confronted each other quietly as time went by.

"So, enough for the hug? Or do you like me so much that you wouldn't let go?" Eliza was not used to such physical contact, and every cell of her body was resisting.

Her words injured Mason like knives.

As expected, Mason immediately let go of her and loosened his tie irritatingly.

"Fool's talk! I don't want to see this again, or there will be consequences!" Mason snapped, went out, and slammed the door shut.

Eliza rubbed her wrist that the man gripped. Dropping her eyes, she saw a shallow imprint around her fair wrist.

Given Mansion's current attitude, he certainly would not tell her what happened back then.

According to Isaac's intel, that project was vital to him. Unexpectedly, it failed in the end, and he was seriously injured. The many sequelae almost changed his life.

She needed to figure out a way and investigate what she wanted to know. After so many years of waiting, she was bent on reaching somewhere!

With a stern face, Mason went back to his study in a huff.

No one had ever been so bold to provoke him like that!

He took out his cell phone and called Michael.

"Sir, what can I be of service?" A respectful voice soon came over from the other end.

"Investigate Eliza," Mason stated coldly.

"Uh, I've done it and put the file on your desk," Michael replied immediately, rejoicing about his former decision.

But what Mason said next surprised him, "Reinvestigate her on her interpersonal relationships."

"Yes, sir, consider it done."

"Have you found any trace of that person?" Mason paused and asked again.

"Not yet; I've mobilized all connections but got nothing. For now, I think only the most mysterious intelligence organization can finish the task."

"Which one?" Mason frowned slightly with a tinge of dissatisfaction in his eyes.
