Chapter 8 No Longer My Lover but My Wife

Wesley's eyes glittered as he held up Jennifer's face tenderly and lowered his mouth to her cheek.

Jennifer closed her eyes. In her heart, it was trust and peace of mind rather than expectation.

She knew that Wesley would just put on a show rather than really kiss her.

So... she waited quietly.

All of a sudden, a person walked up along the red carpet and announced in a loud voice, "Wedding gift for the bride and the groom, please sign for it."

It turned out to be a deliveryman. He must have received a special order to deliver the package to the wedding site.

Neither Jennifer nor Wesley had expected this.

After signing the package, Jennifer unwrapped it, found a box, opened it, and froze there.

She had rehearsed the wedding in her mind a million times. Would Ethan let go or steal her away?

Not in her wildest dreams had she expected this!

Inside the exquisite box lay two red booklets, and on the covers clearly wrote "Marriage Certificate".

Wesley came over and also froze there, "Marriage certificates? He's crazy."

Jennifer opened the booklet and saw Ethan's name. Without doubt, Jennifer was the other name.

But how? He didn't even have her household registration booklet.

Before she could have more time to think about it, the certificate had been displayed on the huge screen behind them. It was self-explanatory.

The slide show ended with a picture of Jennifer and Ethan holding and kissing each other.

It had the audience in an uproar.

All of a sudden... a consistent rumble came from high above. She raised her head and saw a helicopter slowly landing.

The cabin door opened, and out came Ethan, also in a white suit. The corners of his mouth looked solemn and his eyes deep. In the presence of everyone, he carried her in his arms and spoke in a flirtatious voice, "Jennifer, now tell me which position your husband likes to see your tattoo on the wedding night."

Jennifer opened her mouth, ready to answer when Ethan suddenly lowered his head and kissed her on the lips...

...

The kiss was scalding and passionate.

In the end, she leaned weakly against his chest.

Her breathing became disorderly.

The kiss lasted a full ten minutes, and Jennifer felt her cheeks burning. While everyone else was stupefied, Ethan enjoyed it with a calm face.

Before their eyes, Ethan carried her into the helicopter which then soared up to the sky.

...

In the cabin, he pushed her to a corner, "Jennifer, you're naughty!"

"Ethan, our 100-day contract is over." Jennifer looked at him and stressed her tone.

"Indeed, so you're no longer my lover but my wife." Ethan held up a strand of hair in front of her forehead, smelt it deeply, and ran his slender finger down to her collar bone. All of a sudden... he unzipped her wedding dress from the rear.

Jennifer was shocked, "Ethan, what are you doing? We're on a helicopter."

In the past, even when he had lust, he would consider the circumstances and respect her will so that she would not be embarrassed or scared.

This time, however, he stroked her back with his cold fingers, which sent shivers through her.

"Jennifer, don't you know what I'm going to do?" He tore her wedding dress apart and threw it heavily on the floor.
