Chapter 2 Scaring her? They Should Try Harder

In fact, Sophia didn't lack money and didn't necessarily wear clothes buying off the street.

Once they used up their money, Brandi could pick up some stuff in the mountain that the rich ones were desperate to get.

Designer clothes could be her choice, but Sophia preferred to design by herself. She made all Brandi and her clothes.

Shelia wasn't glad to be mocked, so she refuted in a low voice, wearing a gloomy face, "You little bastard, how dare you to swear?"

Shelia had a decent family, yet her face was no match for her identity.

She believed her nose failed her face, so she got a nose job, barely making her an ordinary beauty.

Therefore, whenever she was mentioned as someone ugly, she would be freaked out.

Brandi still put on a sweet smile, but anyone could tell that she meant no good.

What she did best was to hit the point when mocking people.

"I didn't. It's my first day home. I'm too delighted to judge people."

Shelia gritted her teeth, not buying a word Brandi just said.

Seeing Shelia was embarrassed, Tabitha Warren, the fourth daughter-in-law of the family, chuckled to herself. After all, Shelia had long bullied her, yet she had never got any chance to revenge herself.

However, she still had to win her place in this battle, or Sophia would be the next to bully her.

Tabitha smiled, "Sophia, you look so beautiful. I can't imagine that you are from the countryside."

By saying so, Tabitha eased the air, humiliated Sophia, and helped Shelia simultaneously.

What a cunning woman!

After all, Shelia was in charge of the family, and Tabitha knew who to flatter at least.

Brandi shifted her gaze on Tabitha, "Auntie Tabitha, I didn't expect you to be as ignorant as a wild man. It's funny, you know. I thought you were a native of Lerzava."

She said it with a sincere expression as if she wasn't satirizing. The bright smile and dimples made her seem lovely.

Tabitha fixed her gaze on Brandi, surprising at how malicious she was.

"Oh, Tabitha, of course, she is beautiful. Otherwise, what made you think that Master Christopher favored her?" Shelia mocked.

She was indicating that Sophia set Christopher up so that she could sleep with him before.

They wouldn't stop this nonsense, which upset Brandi.

If she remembered right, Tabitha ended up being a dog for Shelia, not to mention she played an essential role in making sure that the woman married Christopher.

Therefore, Brandi decided to make it hard this time.

"Well, at least my father loved my mother at that time. Unlike others, climbing walls, hiding in beds, and forcing the marriage to happen after pregnancy."

Tabitha didn't have a strong background, so she had racked her mind to marry Master Anton, which was spread in Lerzava.

Tabitha stared at Brandi gloomily, cursing inwardly and planning to make them suffer in the following days.

Shelia and Tabitha were only here because Madame Hank asked them to. She truly valued her third son.

After he went missing, Madame Hank was exhausted. Therefore, she turned a blind eye to their tricks as long as they didn't go too far.

As for the two, they were willing to come here for two reasons. First, they would like to know if Sophia was easy to be controlled; second, they wanted Sophia and Brandi to know who was in charge of this family.

Brandi was well aware of what they were thinking.

Unfortunately, if they were here to scare her, she might have bigger surprises for them.

"That's enough talk. Madame Hank is still expecting to see you."

The steward, Mr. Hopkins, took a look at Brandi meaningfully. She looked like an innocent girl at first glance.

Cute and nonaggressive.

But she was too uneducated that she talked to the elders like this.

In case they might bring shame to the family, Mr. Hopkins warned them.

The two put long faces as they walked in and left Sophia and Brandi there alone.

"Grandma..." Brandi whispered.

In the previous life, Grandma was the one who treated her the best after Sophia passed away.

Later, Grandma sent her to study abroad in case Brandi might feel sick to face the woman.

Even if she was independent enough to live a life alone, Grandma had never stopped transferring money every month.

And what Brandi regretted the most was that she was too impulsive to make the right decision and didn't make it to see Grandma when she died.
