Chapter 4 Rest Assured to Stay

Madame Hank continued, "You will live in Christopher's yard."

"Sure!" Sophia obeyed for fear that she might provoke Madame Hank.

Since they had met each other, Madame Hank said, "You must be exhausted all the way here. Now go to your yard and have a rest."

The steward led them to the yard and said, "Every day, we prepare meals in the big kitchen and deliver them to each yard. If you need an extra meal, there is a kitchenette in the yard. Just make a list of the things you need, and I'll tell the buyer to get them for you. Also, if you don't need the delivery, just let me know."

With the kitchenettes in each yard, few people preferred the food from the big kitchen.

The steward briefly introduced the situation of the Hank Family and then told them the rules here before he left.

They got unpacked soon because they didn't have much with them.

In Brandi's previous life, her father went back half a month after her mother passed away, along with a woman and a kid.

The woman saved Christopher. And the latter lost his memory temporarily due to the brain injury.

The whole family appreciated the woman for saving his life.

Half a year later, Christopher married the woman while Brandi studied abroad out of rage, thinking to herself that she would never come back again.

She meant what she said.

But she regretted not having Sophia protected. Now that she got a second chance, she would fulfill Sophia's wish.

She would help Sophia marry Christopher and live a life she had always wanted.

"Mom, I love you so much!"

"What?"

Sophia thought to herself that Brandi was doing so just because she was uneasy in the new place.

But she did have a feeling that her little girl had been needy recently. She always mentioned love, wanted hugs, and started to act coquettishly.

Brandi was needier than she was younger.

But she used to be independent.

Sophia felt sorry for her little girl when thinking of this.

Stroking her head, Sophia said, "Don't be afraid. Mom will be here with you all the time."

"I'd like that. Mom, you promise."

Sophia rubbed her nose.

"Once we settle down, I'll make two new dresses for you. If you have any style in mind, just let me know."

What Sophia did best was making dresses. All those Brandi wore were made by her.

"I'd love that, Mom!"

In the evening, the servant served supper.

Brandi took it directly, smelt, and found nothing abnormal.

But she frowned deliberately, curled her lips, and looked disgusted.

"Mom, I don't like the smell. Can you cook something new for me? I like the dishes you made."

Sophia was poisoned to death last time. Unfortunately, Brandi had never made it to find out who did this to her and what kind of poison it was.

This time, she would be more careful and prevent Sophia from her miserable fate.

Sophia would never say no to her daughter.

She wanted unconditional love for her daughter to make up for the father's love the latter had been missing.

Not to mention her daughter was asking for a simple supper.

She agreed smilingly.

"OK. Brandi, be a good girl and wait here. It won't take long."

"Mom, you are the best."

Seeing there was everything she needed in the kitchenette, Sophia began to cook soon.

Having nothing to do, Brandi was in a daze in the yard.

Since she had determined to stay, wait for her father's return, and procure the marriage of her mother and father, she had to clear her mind to stay.

Among the four sons, Madame Hank favored her third son, Christopher Hank, because he was talented in business and made his family proud.

He had been managing the family business the whole time, but he went missing later.

Senior Hank had been looking for him for more than a year outside.

Therefore, Madame Hank had to rerun the company. Despite how large they had expanded their business, they didn't even know who to deliver the legacy right now.

Without Madame Hank, none of the rest could take over the situation.

How pathetic.

Madame Hank became more serious given the situation, which only pushed her further away from the rest of the family.

They were all afraid that she might blame them for their uselessness, making it more straightforward that she preferred Christopher.

To prevent Madame Hank from transferring her emotions for Christopher to Sophia and Brandi, the rest had never stopped messing with them.

What should Brandi do if she wanted to protect Sophia and guarantee that Madame Hank would enjoy a careless life?

When Brandi was trying to figure out a plan, the supper was ready.

Sophia came over and told her, "Come, Bran, time for supper."
